    Biography

    Susan Bay joined the faculty at Marquette in , after working as an attorney editor for Thomson Reuters (West Publishing). She previously taught for two years at Mercer Law School and for three years at Penn-State Law School, where she also pursued graduate studies in comparative literature. Before teaching, she practiced environmental law with the law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson. Professor Bay graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a B.A. in English and French, with an emphasis on Creative Writing. She graduated cum laude from Tulane Law School, where she served as an Associate Editor of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal and as a student attorney for the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic. Professor Bay's teaching and scholarship interests focus on legal analysis, legal writing, persuasion, and rhetoric. She serves as a Managing Editor of the peer-edited journal, Legal Communication & Rhetoric: JALWD.
